The Andrew Fisher Quartet is a neo-soul jazz group from Michigan. They specialize in bending traditional genres such as soul, funk, R&B, Mowtown and more while using the language of improvisation and jazz. Since being formed in 2015, AFQ showcases their unique takes on well know songs and catalogs and now currently are performing their original music with the release of their EP in 2019.

 

AFQ debuted a concert series in the South Michigan area called "Sunday Night Jazz". Showcasing their love for jazz and other works. While this series was a monthly staple in the area for three straight years, they felt the need to pay homage to their most admired artist, Stevie Wonder. Which turned into their annual "Stevie Wonder Tribute concert" which has been going three years strong with their fourth soon to be coming in May 2019.

 

AFQ is made up of passionate artist and musicians. The founder and lead singer, Andrew Fisher, uses his college-level training and emotional singing to bring a diverse range of styles and genres to the vocal side of AFQ. Bruce Anderson, on keys, breathes soul, gospel and more into the sound from his many years of experience in area bands and churches. Dustin Lowe, bass and guitar, has a range unlike any other in the area. pushing the boundaries from rock, soul, jazz and more. Glenn McFarland, drums, rounds out the group with a balance of high-level technique and musicianship.

 

The Andrew Fisher Quartet constantly pushes the envelope. Truly feel that no genre is off limit and use any tool they have to create memorable music. Some of their notable performances include opening for the O'Jays, performing at various area festivals like Makes Trail Festival and The Riverlights Festival and performing throughout Michigan and Indiana.
